A STAINED GLASS FAVOURITE: ENGLAND, 1861

A STAINED GLASS FAVOURITE: ENGLAND, 1861

Personal Collection - Barnard Castle Railway Station, UK - 1861.

We all have our favourites, and this very simple piece is one of ours. Produced mid-9th century, it adorned the platform of Barnard Castle Railway Station in North Yorkshire, England until its closure in 1961. A lovely piece to us that was in bad shape when we reclaimed it in 2010. Since then it's been fully restored and followed us to Canada in 2012. It now hangs above our kitchen island and looks stunning in the right natural light.
